NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) -- Courtney Waters, a former Charleston County school board member, won a seat in the South Carolina House representing District 113 Tuesday night.
Waters ran unopposed and garnered 388 votes, with 64 out of 66 precincts reporting Tuesday night.

on comes after former state Rep. Marvin Pendarvis resigned from the seat in September amid an ongoing investigation into his law practice.
Pendarvis did not withdraw his name from the November 5 ballot and won reelection but did not accept the seat.
