PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Like shaved ice? Residents of Porterville can soon enjoy the cool treat with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of a Kona Ice truck on Thursday.
Kona Ice, according to its website, is "a one-of-a-kind, gourmet shaved ice experience." Their website says it belie
ves in more than just serving shaved ice and that it's all about creating unforgettable experiences.
The Porterville Chamber of Commerce says the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be an engaging occasion, celebrating not just the launch of the new business, but the promise of added value to the community.
Janel Young, the owner of the Porterville Kona Ice, says they are grateful for the opportunity to serve the city and surrounding areas.
Young says the Kona Ice truck will also be at the Porterville Spring Festival on April 5.
