SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A woman accused of stealing more than $56,000 in merchandise from San Francisco retailers pleaded not guilty to all charges on Monday, according to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Jayla Glaser was charged in connection to five retail thefts at Sephora and Ve o Optics between August 2024 and Feb. 20, 2025. Prosecutors said the spree started on Aug. 26, 2024, when Glaser and an accomplice allegedly stole $5,034 worth of merchandise from the Sephora at 2083 Union Street. On Jan. 15, 2025, Glaser returned to the same Sephora location with an accomplice and allegedly stole $700 in merchandise. The Union Street Sephora was hit a third time three days later, with Glaser accused of taking $7,000 worth of merchandise. VIDEO: Thieves chain door to vehicle to break into San Jose liquor store On Feb. 3, the DA’s office said Glaser and an accomplice visited the Sephora at Two Embarcadero Center and stole approximately $4,000 in merchandise. That same month, on Feb. 20, over $40,000 worth of luxury eyewear was allegedly stolen by Glaser and an accomplice from Veo Optics at 2100 Union Street. Glaser faces multiple charges, including one count of organized retail theft with intent to resell, four counts of second-degree commercial burglary, four counts of grand theft and one count of petty theft with two or more priors.
