Wichita State's Quincy Ballard entering transfer portal

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita State senior Quincy Ballard is looking for a new home. On Tuesday, multiple reports confirm he is expected to enter the transfer portal.
Ballard, a 7-foot center out of Syracuse, N.Y., spent the last three seasons at Wichita State after transferring from Florida S
tate in 2022. He was listed as a senior in the 2024-2025 season, but was recently awarded a retroactive redshirt year from the 2022-2023 season, where he was plagued by injuries.

After helping the Shockers to the first round of the NIT Tournament in 2025, Ballard etched his name in WSU record books with the highest single-season field goal percentage (75.1%) and the highest career field goal percentage (72.8%). He started 67 games with the Shockers, totaling 602 points, 152 blocks, and 526 rebounds.
