Strong winds to bring increased wildfire risk Wednesday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Strong winds and dry air will bring the Piedmont another day with an increased wildfire danger.
Partly to mostly clear skies Wednesday morning with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. During the day, our winds will increase. We could see wind gusts between 20 a
nd 30 mph. Also, with dry air in place, the Piedmont will see another day with an increased wildfire danger. Remember, there is a statewide burn ban. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 60s.
Thursday, mostly sunny with lighter winds. Our Thursday morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s with highs in the middle 60s.
Friday will be a warmer day. Friday morning temperatures will be in the middle 40s with highs in the middle 70s.
Saturday will be a cloudy, but mild day with lows in the middle 50s and highs in the upper 70s.
Rain, maybe a few late day thunderstorms, will be possible on Sunday. Morning lows will be around 60 degrees with highs in the middle 70s. Chance of rain 40%.
A cold front will bring us a better chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday. Our lows will be in the lower 60s with highs in the middle 70s. Chance of rain 50%.
Behind the cold front, Tuesday will be a cooler day. Look for partly sunny skies with lows around 50 degrees and highs in the mid to upper 60s. Chance of rain 25%. ...read more read less
