Police investigating shots fired report in Amherst

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Amherst police are investigating a report of shots fired near Billy Wilson Park in the area of Hopkins Road and Randwood Drive.
Police said around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, witnesses reported that a white pickup truck and grey SUV were possibly involved in the incident.
There
are currently no known victims or suspects, according to officials. Police said there is no immediate danger to the public.
The area of northbound Hopkins Road between Klein and Dodge Roads was shut down by police for a couple of hours.
Police are asking anyone who was involved in or witnessed the incident and has any dash cam footage or other pictures and videos to contact the Amherst Police Department at (716) 689-1322.
