BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man died in a collision involving three vehicles on March 19 when a car rear-ended his vehicle, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

rsfield Police Sgt. Eric Celedon said. They found a collision involving three vehicles at the scene.
According to Celedon, the preliminary investigation suggested a vehicle approaching the intersection rear-ended a vehicle, which caused that vehicle to also rear-end another car in front of it.

The driver of the vehicle in the middle was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, but was pronounced deceased at 6:48 p.m. on March 22, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office. All other drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, Celedon said.
The Coroner’s Office identified the victim on Tuesday as Leland Wayne Ramsey, 75.
BPD has not made any arrests yet, according to Celedon. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. ...read more read less
