AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Tuesday, the Round Rock Police Department identified a woman killed in a 10-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 on Monday. The crash also injured three others, according to police. Police id entified the person who died as 35-year-old Alex White of Fort Cavazos. She was pronounced dead at the scene. RRPD: 1 dead, others injured in 10-vehicle crash on I-35 in Round Rock Police responded to the multi-vehicle crash at I-35 near RM 620 around 11:40 a.m. The crash, which involved a dump truck, shut down both north and southbound lanes of traffic on I-35 for approximately six hours, the agency said in a news release. According to police, a vehicle driving northbound "made a sudden lane change," and hit another vehicle, forcing "multiple drivers to take evasive action." "This chain reaction caused the dump truck to cross the concrete median and collide with southbound traffic," police said. Three people were to taken to to local hospitals with minor injuries, according to police.
