(KRON) -- A martial arts instructor and former behavioral therapist in the South Bay was arrested earlier this month for alleged child sex crimes, the San Jose Police Department announced Tuesday. Due to his “continuous access” to children, authorities said anyone with information in similar cas es is encouraged to come forward. Bernie Barrozo, 28, of San Jose, was identified by detectives as the suspect after a Jan. 17 report of unlawful intercourse and oral copulation with a child, SJPD said. Bernie Barrozo (Photo: San Jose Police Department) On March 6, following a “comprehensive” investigation, the SJPD Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce arrested Barrozo in San Jose and he was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Investigators said Barrozo worked as an instructor at a martial arts studio located in the 800 block of Coleman Avenue. Previously, he was a behavioral therapist for children with autism in San Jose, according to SJPD.
