TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka City Councilman Spencer Duncan joined the 27 News morning newscast to discuss his decision to run for mayor.

When Duncan was asked what the most important topic of his campaign was, he started with housing.
"Housing is crucial in this community," Duncan stated. "It's a catalyst of a lot of other issues that we have. So, if we can get a handle on the housing crisis and the affordability issues, we can actually address a lot of other problems that we are dealing with."
27 News also asked Duncan about what his platform is.
"My platform really is listen to the people, and focus on what their priorities are," Duncan said. "My slogan is, 'Your Priorities First", and that really is based on my belief that you have to listen to the people and focus on what they are asking you to do."
