PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) — A Bridgewater, Massachusetts, woman is suspected of driving under the influence with a young child in the car, according to Portsmouth police. Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, an officer saw a car driving north on Route 24 that was following too closely to another vehicle, imp roperly changing lanes, and drifting between lane dividers, police said. The officer stopped the car and spoke with the driver, identified as 33-year-old Kaleigh Maraglia, who showed signs of impairment. An 8-year-old was also in the car, police added, along with open alcohol containers. Maraglia was placed under arrest after she failed a field sobriety test. Police said Maraglia is charged with DUI liquor (.10-.15 BAC) and DUI with a child under 13 years old. She is due in court on June 3.
