EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man has died after a motorcycle crash this past Sunday, March 23 in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash in far East El Paso The Sheriff's Office says Paul Ballard, 62, of Horizon City, was traveling on a motorcycle and died after a crash involving another vehicle at the intersection of Vista Del Sol Drive and Paseo Grande Street that Sunday. Special Traffic Investigators responded just before 5 p.m. that Sunday to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Vista Del Sol Drive and Paseo Grande Street. The investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling northbound at the 1600 block of Paseo Grande Street and had stopped at the intersection and was planning on turning west onto Vista Del Sol Drive. Once the driver entered the intersection, the vehicle collided with Ballard who was traveling eastbound, the Sheriff's Office said. Ballard was transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries, the Sheriff's Office said.
