y that Nichole disclosed information about the crime scene to her that otherwise would not have been available to Nichole or the public. She also testified that Nichole used vulgar language about Anita, and that Anita "deserved to die." The state ended the day with the testimony of the Case Agent, Minot Police Detective Carmen Asham.
Prosecution rests in Nichole Rice murder trial
North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley says it's time for "truth in sentencing," and that message drew a packed room at the Capitol. Lawmakers reviewed the newest version of Senate Bill 2128. Before, the bill required violent offenders to serve 85% of their sentence — but it didn't clearly define what counted as time served. Now, the revised version spells it out: Transitional housing, like halfway houses, won't count unless approved by the Department of Corrections.
