Shafter man admitted to recording sex act with teen girl: reports

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Shafter man who was arrested in February while trying to leave the country admitted to having sex with a teen girl and making a recording of the act on his cellphone, according to court documents.

ite it being against the law for an adult to have sexual relations with a minor no matter the circumstances and the teen's statement to police saying she told him no and was traumatized by the incident, say the reports filed by Shafter police.
He said he attempted to flee to Mexico because he was scared, the reports say.

Delgado-Lopez faces multiple felonies -- including charges related to sex acts with a minor and possession of child pornography -- and is being held on $750,000 bail. He had a court hearing scheduled Tuesday.
The victim's mother called police on Feb. 16 and both she and her daughter -- who was 13 when the alleged act occurred -- provided statements, the reports say.
Investigators pinged Delgado-Lopez's cellphone and on Feb. 17 learned it was in the Los Angeles area. As they traveled to L.A., investigators saw the device was traveling to the San Ysidro area and the U.S.-Mexico border, according to the documents.
Delgado-Lopez was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers until police arrived and took him into custody. They seized property including his cellphone. ...read more read less
