A 25% reduction in motorized traffic in the city of Barcelona would have significant health benefits. A study carried out by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), a center supported by the "la Caixa" Foundation, estimates that this reduction in the number of vehicles could lead to a 17.6% reduction in nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels.
