WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it is investigating after a liquor store was robbed in Northwest early Tuesday morning.
Details are limited; however, around 5:15 a.m. officers responded to the Hamilton Liquor in the 5200 block of Georgia Avenue for a sus
picious vehicle.
There, police learned that multiple people armed with guns had stolen an ATM machine from the store.
On Tuesday morning, MPD issued a lookout for a white Ford pickup truck with the Maryland tag, 5FD0899. Police said the truck had chains and dual wheels on the back.
Police noted that the truck was also occupied by several people wearing ski masks and dressed in black clothing. MPD said they were also armed with rifles.
