Summerlike warm trend continues Tuesday in Bay Area
Mar 25, 2025
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Warm weather continues on Tuesday, with summerlike temperatures in the upper 70s to middle 80s. Numerous daily maximum temperature records were broken yesterday, and some may be broken today.
The beach hazards statement has been extended and is in effect through Wednesday mo
rning for Pacific Coast beaches.
The upper level ridge continues to dominate our weather, and temperatures will rise into the lower to middle 80s in the inland valleys, the upper 70s to the lower 80s along the Bays, and the upper 60s to lower 70s at the coast. Mid to high-level clouds are a big factor in the forecast, and widespread and thick high-level clouds, in addition to a more robust sea breeze, could keep temperatures from rising to the current forecast.
An unsettled pattern begins to set in mid week through the remainder of the extended forecast. As the upper level ridge erodes and moves eastward, and an upper level low moves in, more seasonal temperatures and scattered light rain return on Wednesday. Rain chances are mainly focused on the North Bay, though some coastal areas farther south may see some light rain or drizzle.
High temperatures drop into the 60s and lower 70s, and while most of the rain stays well to our north in the Pacific Northwest, up to a quarter of an inch is possible across the North Bay Wednesday through Thursday morning, with up to a tenth of an inch across the Bay Area south of the Golden Gate.
Seasonal temperatures return to the region Thursday with highs in the upper 50s into the 60s. Generally dry conditions continue into late Saturday as a more impactful system approaches the Bay Area. There is a moderate risk of heavy precipitation and high winds on the first two days of April, with widespread totals of at least 1 to 2 inches. Uncertainty remains high with timing, intensity, and impacted location. ...read more read less
