LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a woman reported missing over the weekend has been found safe on the banks of a river.
According to the sheriff’s office, two fishermen found 74-year-old Maxine Nix around 4:30 p.m. Monday on the banks of the Lit
tle Laurel River near Paris Karr Road.
Deputies say Nix was taken to Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin for an evaluation.
Nix was first reported missing from the Paris Karr Road area on Saturday.
