Woman dies in shooting on Indy’s northeast side INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman is dead after a late-night shooting on the city’s northeast side. The Marion County coroner identified the woman Tuesday morning as Kia Gooch, 29. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers r esponded to reports of a person shot just before 11 p.m. Monday at a home near North Rural and East 18th streets. When they arrived, officers say they found the woman with gunshot wounds inside the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police tell News 8 they have detained a person of interest but they were later released. Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact Det.
