(KRON) -- A woman was killed early Monday morning after a hit-and-run crash involving three vehicles in Brisbane, the Brisbane Police Department (BPD) announced in a news release. The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on the 3700 block of Bayshore Boulevard.

ken to San Francisco General Hospital. The woman, who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash, was approximately 60 years old and died at the hospital, BPD said. The second driver, a 35-year-old man, is in stable condition.
The third driver fled the scene before first responders arrived. According to BPD, the runaway driver is a 37-year-old man from Burlingame.
The suspect was later arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on charges of hit-and-run causing injury, hit-and-run causing death and vehicular manslaughter. Authorities are investigating whether drugs and/or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
