FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Over 100 pounds of narcotics were found hidden in a car's roof after a traffic stop in Fresno County, the United States Department of Justice said. According to the DOJ, officers pulled over 42-year-old Jose Miguel Perez of Corona while driving north on I-5 i n Fresno County. After searching through the car's compartments, the DOJ says police found 56 kilograms of various narcotics; 7 kilograms of cocaine were found in the ceiling, while an additional 37 kilograms of cocaine, 10 kilograms of heroin, and 2 kilograms of ketamine were hidden in the car’s roof. Perez pleaded guilty Monday to cocaine and heroin trafficking, the DOJ says.
