(FOX 5/KUSI) — A pedestrian bridge over Interstate 805 close to the California-Mexico border will be closed several times over the next weeks as it undergoes renovations. According to Caltrans, the Hall Avenue Pedestrian Bridge will undergo work starting on Monday and continuing through the fi rst days of April. See real-time road conditions on our Live Traffic Map The bridge is south of the interchange between Highway 905 and I-805, about one mile northwest of the San Ysidro Port of Entry. The closures are necessary to remove, replace and reinforce aged concrete and anchors for the fencing, according to Caltrans. The Hall Avenue Bridge will undergo renovations in late March and early April 2025. (Image from Caltrans) From March 24 to 28, the bridge will have a partial closure, with the sidewalk remaining partially open to pedestrians and cyclists. From March 31 to April 4, the bridge will undergo a full closure.
