WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 22-year-old man was sentenced on Monday for his role in a man's death back in November 2020. Leroy Gunter was sentenced to nearly 23 years in prison for the fatal shooting of Christopher Bell. The shooting happened at a home in the 900 block of North Ridgewood after a f ight broke out. Other people were inside the house but not injured. On Jan. 30, Gunter pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery, criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and aggravated assault.
