Mar 24, 2025
A homeless man was struck and killed in Fontana by a car whose driver failed to stop Monday morning, the Fontana Police Department said.
Detectives were following up on leads, said Officer Daniel Romero, a Police Department spokesman. The department did not have any description of the driver or car
that it was ready to make public, he said.
The collision was reported just after 6 a.m. at Juniper Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Romero described the victim as an older homeless man who was on foot.
The investigation resulted in westbound Foothill and southbound Juniper being closed for a couple of hours.
