BROCKTON, Mass. (WPRI) — The search is on for the man who investigators believe shot and killed two teenagers in Brockton Saturday night.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced Monday afternoon that an arrest warrant has been issued for 22-year-old Davinci Leonard, who's been
accused of killing 15-year-old Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez.
“Two young people lost their lives," Cruz said. "Our hearts go out to their families. This is a senseless loss of life."

Cruz said the deadly shooting appears to have stemmed from a fight between Leonard and Albertson that started in the parking lot near the Chipotle and Starbucks.
Officers rushed to Westgate Mall after a 911 caller alerted them to the shooting. Cruz said the officers found Albertson and Alvarez on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
Albertson was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital, according to Cruz, while Alvarez succumbed to her injuries after being flown to Massachusetts General Hospital.
Cruz said detectives identified Leonard as the suspect after canvassing the parking lot, reviewing surveillance footage and conducting dozens of interviews. He was last seen leaving the Westgate Mall parking lot after the shooting.
"He grabbed some clothes and has not been seen since," Cruz said.
Leonard is being charged with two counts of murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, possession of ammunition without a license and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
Cruz said the firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered, meaning Leonard should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who knows of Leonard's whereabouts is urged not to approach him and to instead contact the Massachusetts State Police Fusion Center at 1-800-KAPTURE.
