Showers with lighter winds Tuesday, late week warmup | Mar. 24, 2025
Mar 24, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We dealt with some strong winds on this Monday with some gusts over 40 MPH. The trend will be for winds to die down into midweek along with tracking multiple chances for rain and a late week warmup.
Monday night: Cloud cover will increase tonight with winds dying down.
Lows will dip into the upper 30s.
Tuesday: The aforementioned increase in clouds is going to be followed up with the return of showers. Tuesday morning will feature showers mainly south of Indy. Then, scattered shower coverage picks up across central Indiana in the afternoon and nighttime hours.
Highs are going to only top out in the low to mid 50s.
Wednesday: Dry air returns heading into the middle of the workweek Wednesday with skies turning mostly sunny. Winds are expected to remain light as highs rise into the mid 50s.
7-Day Forecast: We return to the 60s Thursday and ultimately the 70s by Friday. This faster paced warmup will lead way to multiple chances for showers and storms starting Friday that carries through Sunday. At this time, there is an outline for strong to severe storms across the state on Sunday, Mar. 30th. There is uncertainty at this time with system track, timing, and area of best instability (unstable air). Regardless, there was enough confidence from the Storm Prediction Center to issue this risk. We’ll keep an eye on this and fine tune details later in the week.
