Appleton International Airport prepares for recordbreaking spring break travel

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Spring break is right around the corner, and airport officials in Appleton are preparing for a huge influx of passengers.
Appleton International Airport officials shared with Local 5 News that this will be the busiest week in the airport's history as weather is playing a
part in the increase in people leaving, trying to escape the cold.

"They've been coupled up all winter," said Hollie Foley, Appleton International Airport marketing manager. "They're sick of the snow, and they want to go to warmer weather destinations. We have 7,000 seats this week going to Florida and Arizona."
Foley added that the increase won't slow down, as many people are expected to fly in for the 2025 NFL Draft taking place in Green Bay in late April. ...read more read less
