Today's afternoon highs reached the upper 40s in Fort Wayne, but conditions stayed colder to the north (upper 30s) with higher temps south. Highs around Marion and Hartford City were close to 50° and a little higher. For tonight, the amount of clouds in the sky decreases and, then, in creases, again. One system is moving out and another is moving closer, causing the fluctuation in cloud cover. Our wind speeds are decreasing, too. You'll notice a big decrease in wind gust speeds between now and 9 pm. Evening temps fall out of the 40s and through the 30s. Our lowest early morning temps are in the upper 20s. Tonight temperatures decrease to lows in the upper 20s with some areas south only as low as the low-to-mid 30s. Tuesday afternoon temperatures increase to a seasonal high of 50° in the afternoon, all under a partly cloudy sky - after a mostly cloudy morning. The day has some breezy moments, but it's nowhere near as a windy as some recent days with NW gusts up to 20 mph. Highs in the 50s Tuesday with some spots to the north only making it to the upper 40s. Wednesday's outlook features a lot of sunshine as high pressure becomes the main influence on our weather. Highs will be close to 50° and we'll still have some occasional NW gusts up to 20 mph. Warmer conditions blow in later this week. Thursday highs will be near 60° and, then, we jump to 70° on Friday and will be pretty close to 70° on Saturday, too. The warmth comes along with rain chances at the end of the week as our next storm system develops and strengthens off to the west and, then, tracks in our direction. Periods of of rain are possible from Friday through next Monday. On Sunday, as colder air flows in behind this system, highs drop into the upper 50s. Rain begins during the day on Friday and continues over the weekend, at times, into Monday. Tonight: Clouds decrease, then increase, again. Becoming mostly cloudy.
