LSU women's basketball advances to Sweet 16 after win over Florida State, 10171

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The No. 3 LSU Women's basketball team defeats the No. 6 Florida State Seminoles in Monday's second round of the NCAA Tournament, 101-71.
According to ESPN, the two teams met in the Pete Maravich Center on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge. The tip-off was at 5 p.m
.
Going into halftime, the Tigers held a 1-point lead over the Seminoles, 50-49. The senior forward, Aneesah Morrow went into the locker room with 14 points and sophomore Mikaylah Williams had 12 points.
Seminoles junior guard, Ta'Niya Latson had 23 points going into the second half.
After halftime, the Tigers were able to pull away from the Seminoles. In the third quarter, Florida State only scored 6 points.
