MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The man who was shot in the head in Winton Saturday evening has been identified by the Merced County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say two suspects, including a teenager, have also been arrested. 2 in questioning after Winton man fatally shot in head Deputies reported on Saturday evening they responded to the 7100 block of Bobbi Avenue for a report of a man bleeding in the front of a home. Upon arrival, first responders found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was airlifted to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators determined the shooting occurred during a gathering at a home in the area. The victim was identified on Monday as 24-year-old Angel Ramirez of Winton. Deputies also reported on Monday that a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on suspicion of homicide charges and 20-year-old Jerardo Ochoa-Aguilar of Winton was arrested on suspicion of accessory.
