SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Drivers should expect significant traffic delays in both directions on State Route 78 in Oceanside after a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck Monday morning forced lane closures. The crash was reported just after 7:40 a.m. on the westbound side of the road, in b etween Jefferson Street and El Camino Real. According to CHP logs, one semi-truck was involved in the collision, as well as several smaller vehicles. No specific details about what led up to the crash are available, but CHP says there is significant damage and debris from the incident. All traffic on westbound SR-78 was blocked off as a result of the wreckage, as well as one eastbound lane, per Caltrans.
