WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The NCAA Tournament in Wichita wrapped up on Saturday night. The event started Wednesday with open practice, and games for the tournament were played on Thursday and Saturday.
During the period, police said they experienced "minimal incidents" while patrolling areas around
the event.

Officers said they made three arrests: one for domestic violence, one for trespassing, and another for DUI.
The department said, "We were encouraged by the event's positive atmosphere and the many meaningful interactions between officers and community members."
Mayor Lily Wu echoed that when asked about the tournament on Monday.
"I heard from people from out of town thanking our community for being so safe, and they appreciated seeing all the different police officers in various modes of transportation, so Wichita, I think, represented very well this weekend," Wu said.
Wichita is planning a bid to host the NCAA Tournament again in the future.
