The official start of the 2025 high school baseball season in the area will have to wait an extra day since rain Sunday night into Monday washed out the three games scheduled locally on Monday. Florence’s home game with Burlington Township is one of the three to get rescheduled. The Falcons will v isit the Flashes at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. The same is the plan for the Pennington School, which was supposed to welcome the Academy of the New Church Monday. They will now play at Heritage Field at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. Northern Burlington’s game at Maple Shade was called off with no makeup date set.
