Santa Fe Police search for driver who hit and killed pedestrian

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A 34-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Santa Fe Sunday morning, and police are now searching for the driver.
Police said the man attempted to cross a section of Cerrillos Road near Richards Avenue that had no crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver continued heading south without stopping or notifying police, officials said. A witness described the vehicle as a silver pickup truck.
Police found the man lying in the road around 2:26 a.m. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
