High temperatures continue to climb across the state this afternoon. This warmer weather will be lasting through the end of the week.
A high pressure system is beginning to build to the south of New Mexico this afternoon. This high pressure system will bring sunny skies across the state this aft
ernoon and through Tuesday afternoon. The high will also continue the warming trend that was kicked off on Sunday.
By the middle of the week a weak storm system will move across southern New Mexico. This low pressure will be fairly brief. Though it will still bring light chances for rain and thunderstorms. The precipitation will begin Wednesday evening as the low move in and continue through Friday as the low moves out. The best chances for rain will be in the Gila Wilderness and southeastern New Mexico.
Temperatures will remain well above seasonably average through the end of the week. Winds will also be holding off, for the most part. Locally breezy to windy conditions are possible through the afternoons of the upcoming days.
