PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The caregiver of a missing woman with autism did not make a plea in front of a judge Monday during her arraignment.
45-year-old Linda DeLomba went missing nearly a week ago, and her caregiver, Roberta Gerard reported her disappearance.
Police said Gerard gave “inaccura
te” information to investigators during the course of their search.
DeLomba was found safe Sunday in the back of a car on Pond Street in Cranston.
DeLomba was taken to a hospital and police said she’s doing well.
Gerard faces charges including abuse and exploitation of an adult with severe impairment, which is a felony.
She was also charged with obstruction and is due back in court in June.
Her bail was set at $5,000.
