MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Dyer County man was shot and killed on Thursday, and a juvenile suspect was charged for the crime, according to the sheriff's office. On Mar. 20, deputies responded to a 911 call about a man who was shot. Ethan Pike, 21, was treated at the scene and transported to a local hosp ital where he died from his injuries. A juvenile was arrested and charged with reckless homicide in connection to the deadly shooting. Man dead after shooting overnight in South Memphis The DCSO said that their Criminal Investigation Division conducted interviews, collected evidence, and secured the weapon used in the shooting, and an autopsy was ordered by the Dyer County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause and manner of death. "Thank you to the outstanding work of our deputies and investigators, which led to the immediate securing of the scene, preservation of necessary evidence, and identification of a suspect in this case," Sheriff Jeff Box said. "Any loss of life in our community is tragic, and our prayers are with those who are hurting as a result of this reckless action."
