INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One man died and another was critically hurt after being shot Monday morning on Indy’s east side.
Online police reports show Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 600 block of Dayton Avenu
e near English and Emerson avenues around 8:30 a.m. to investigate a person shot.
There, they found two men outside a home suffering gunshot wounds. IMPD said both victims were rushed to hospitals in critical condition, where one of the men later died. The other was said to be in critical condition.
IMPD says a juvenile was on the scene and taken to a hospital for treatment separate from the shooting.

“This (violence) is not necessary,” Thompson added. “Talk it out, and walk away.”
No arrests have been made yet. IMPD says detectives found two firearms on scene and seized them as evidence.
