6 people sentenced to combined 87 years for roles in Muncie drug trafficking ring

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — Six people have been sentenced to a combined 87 years in prison for their roles in a drug trafficking ring that operated in Muncie.
Jamarr Hill, Terry Hill, Lance McGee, and Nakevius Shannon were the most recent sentencings to come out of a yearslong investigation, ac
cording to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say from May to November of 2022, the four would traffic drugs from San Diego, California, to Muncie.
Jamarr Hill served as the ringleader, gathering the drugs in California for Terry Hill and McGee to distribute in Muncie and other parts of central Indiana. Shannon joined in the ring by buying Jamarr Hill two firearms from a Rural King and lying on official paperwork.
In total, the ring trafficked roughly 2,000 grams of fentanyl, 10 kilograms of cocaine, and 203 pounds of meth.
Jamarr and Terry Hill, McGee, and Shannon each pleaded guilty and were sentenced. Their charges and sentences are listed below:
Jamarr Hill, 30, of Muncie: Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, money laundering, and conspiracy to make a false statement in connection to purchasing a firearm; 17 years in prison, 5 years of supervised release.
Terry Hill, 49, of Muncie: Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine; 5 years in prison, 5 years of supervised release.
Lance McGee, 32, of Muncie: Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances; 15 years in prison, 5 years of supervised release.
Nakevius Shannon, 33, of Muncie: Making a false statement in connection with purchasing a firearm; 3 years of probation.
Two other people were charged and have been sentenced as part of the investigation.
Joseph Haskins of Muncie was arrested in 2021 and charged with possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth. He was sentenced in December 2023 to 33 years. In 2024, Rodolfo Silva was charged in California with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. He pleaded guilty and received a 17-year sentence.
