GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say two people are dead following a crash Monday morning in Grand Chute between a semi-truck and a passenger van. According to a release from the Grand Chute Police Department, police officers and firefighters responded at 10:45 a.m. to the intersection of W est Wisconsin Avenue and North McCarthy Road for reports of a two-vehicle crash. Officials say a semi-truck was heading east on West Wisconsin Avenue when it crashed into a passenger van. Dead body found in Fond du Lac County, death investigation underway The driver and passenger of the vehicle were said to have suffered life-threatening injuries and they were taken to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Eastbound West Wisconsin Avenue is expected to remain closed between North McCarthy Road and North Casaloma Drive for several hours while the investigation continues.
