FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A 19-year-old was arrested this past weekend for what police believe was street racing.
According to a release from Indiana State Police, a Fort Wayne trooper was patrolling Interstate 69 near Coldwater Road and the 312 mile-marker a few nights ago when a group of cars s

"The cars sounded modified and the trooper said it sounded as if he was at a race track as they passed," ISP said in the release.
The trooper pursued the group and was able to pull over the car leading the race near the Coldwater Crossing shopping center, according to the release.
The driver, Jackson Bertels, was arrested for resisting law enforcement -- a Level 6 felony -- and reckless driving, a Class A misdemeanor. His car was impounded and he was taken to the Allen County Jail.
"This dangerous behavior will lead to arrests and the impounding of the vehicles involved," ISP warned. ...read more read less
