According to Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD), bald eagles are present year-round across Texas. The bird's population is split in two: breeding birds and nonbreeding (or wintering) birds.
TPWD said breeding birds are seen primarily in the eastern half of the state and along coastal counties while nonbreeding birds are found mostly in the Panhandle, Central and East Texas, "and in other areas of suitable habitat throughout the state."

Nesting season for Texas bald eagles happens from October to July, according to TPWD. Egg-laying peaks in December, and baby birds hatch in January.
