Mar 24, 2025
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Warmer than average temperatures set in Monday through Tuesday, before a cool down and more disturbed weather returns later in the week.
Bay Area temperatures are on track to be 15 to 20 degrees above normal on both days, and some afternoon high-temperature records could be
broken. Tuesday will be slightly warmer than Monday in most areas, perhaps a degree or two warmer, depending on wind direction. Inland areas will be in the mid to upper 80s with 70s continuing along the coast.
High pressure will move inland by Wednesday, and a trough will quickly fill in behind, allowing temperatures to return to normal by Thursday. Temperatures will remain cool for the remainder of the extended forecast. The trough will bring increased cloud cover, gusty winds, and a slight chance of a few raindrops late Wednesday and Thursday, mostly over the North Bay.
There is a chance that an atmospheric river will arrive next week and bring more than an inch of rain across the Bay Area. Uncertainty remains high with timing, intensity and impacted locations. ...read more read less
