HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) - Early Monday morning a police pursuit in Liberty County led to two schools in the area implementing a full lockdown. At approximately 7:38 a.m., Liberty Elementary School (LES) and Midway Middle School (MMS) implemented a full lockdown due to a vehicle police pursuit occ urring nearby. Passengers exited the vehicle and were seen fleeing close to the school campus. School staff responded by initiating the lockdown alert system. All students and personnel followed protocol and at no time was there any threat to the school.
