BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Twenty-one-year-old Jukwanta Demond Nicholson has been identified as the driver in Sunday's deadly Brunswick County Crash. The crash happened at 4:03 a.m. on Sunday, March. 23, at 1167 Old Bridge Rd., east of Liberty Road, after reports came in about a single-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries. The driver was also pronounced dead by police. According to Virginia State Police (VSP), the preliminary investigation into the crash revealed that Nicholson was traveling in the westbound lanes of Old Stage Road when he then ran off the road and struck several large trees on the passenger side. Nicholson was not wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred, and died due to his injuries after impact.
