The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office never hosted an event of this size specifically targeting drugs on Interstate 95, the release said. The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office and Roanoke Rapids Police Department joined the crackdown.
Between the three agencies, there were an average of 10 to 12 officers patrolling I-95 each day from the Virginia State Line to the Halifax/Nash county line.
