Hampton man arrested on 30 felony charges after Brunswick County pursuit

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- 34-year-old Hampton resident Delmar Curtis Staton-Davies, has been identified as the driver involved in Friday's short pursuit in Brunswick County.
On Friday March. 21 at approximately 12:02 p.m., State Police received a request to help assist the Brunswick Sherriff
's Office (BSO) to help stop a vehicle they were pursuing on Route 58.
BSO terminated the pursuit, however shortly after the termination, they observed the same vehicle speeding on Route 58 going 100 mph in a 45 mph zone.
State Police then initiated the pursuit onto Interstate 95 northbound where they later got off on Route 301, South into Emporia, where Staton-Davis struck a curb and road sign and proceeded to flee from the scene.
Following Staton-Davis's flee from the scene, he was then taken into custody with the help of Greenville Sheriff's Office and Emporia Police Department.
According Virginia State Police (VSP) multiple search warrants were executed for Staton-Davis's arrest which revealed numerous credit cards, driver's licenses and passports that did not belong to Staton-Davis.
The Hampton resident was taken to Southside Regional Jail and charged with 30 felonies, seven misdemeanors and four traffic infractions.
According to VSP the felonies are as follows:
15 counts of possession of stolen credit cards
Possession of a stolen firearm
9 counts of possession of stolen goods valuing over $1,000
Possession of a firearm by convicted felon
Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
Felony destruction of property
Unauthorized use of a vehicle
Felony eluding law enforcement
The misdemeanors include:
Reckless driving
Obstruction of justice
4 counts of identity theft
Drive after revocation
Traffic infractions include:

2 counts of failing to obey stop sign
