Three displaced after house fire in Suffolk, no injuries reported

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Three people have been displaced after a house fire in Suffolk Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of South 5th Street at approximately 3:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters
found heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of a one-story house. They entered the residence and performed an aggressive attack on the fire. The fire was placed under control around 3:55 p.m.

There were no injuries reported to firefighters or occupants.
The occupants were at home at the time of the incident but were all outside when firefighters arrived. They will not require assistance from the American Red Cross.
The fire is under investigation.
