EWA, Hawaii (KHON2) -- Honolulu police continued their crackdown on e-bike violations following a string of incidents in Ewa on Saturday, March 22. Police were called to Keoneula Blvd in Ewa around 7:30 p.m. when a large group of e-bike and e-motorcycle riders committed multiple traffic violation s. HPD enforces e-bike regulations, Kailua riders cited Officials said riders were committing the violations in moving traffic and one rider rear-ended a police vehicle. "While the officer was assisting the injured rider, a second rider damaged the officer's vehicle," said HPD in a social media post. Honolulu EMS said they treated the 29-year-old bike rider for serious injuries. He was transported to an area hospital. Police arrested one 16-year-old male for disorderly conduct, driving without a license and disobeying an officer.
