PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Potomac River will light up this spring as the Water Lantern Festival comes to the National Harbor.
The festival, which will take place at Spirit Park from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, will allow community me
mbers to create a unique lantern before setting it afloat in the water, lighting up the night.
From 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., participants will hear lantern stories, engage in medication, and hear the instructions for the lantern launch, which will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Festival-goers will also enjoy live entertainment and food from local food trucks. The event, designated as the Washington, D.C., lantern launch, is one of many taking place across the country
